Orellana’s plan to set out again, to conquer and populate the discovered territories, took him to the mighty and cosmopolitan city of Seville, in order to contract the ships that would accompany him. There he found love: Ana de Ayala, who would share his new ocean adventure.
Orellana and Doña Ana were married on November 24, 1544, at the Iglesia de la Macarena.
